Professional Liability

When the career and livelihood of a professional is at stake, Stinnett Thiebaud & Remington works tirelessly to defend clients against the liability claims and to work to protect their reputation and public confidence. We work with clients to provide early strategic assessment and work with clients toward successful outcomes.

Stinnett Thiebaud & Remington attorneys enjoy a long history of success in defense of professionals.  Our depth of trial experience over decades allows us to provide clients solid advice, investigation of claims, risk management and litigation of contested matters before juries and administrative panels.

We are called upon to represent local, regional and national firms and their professionals in a variety of complex matters including:

Physicians, Physician Groups, Hospitals and other Health Care Professionals

Our start as a boutique came from being a leading firm in the state in representing physician, hospitals, physician groups and other ancillary businesses in the health care field in the liablity claims against their professionals. Our focus on health care and litigation allows us to anticipate the needs of our clients and offer solid legal counsel promoting patient safety and transparency; quality assurance; and peer review of health care professionals. We help clients with risk management consultation and litigation avoidance strategies.  Our attorneys are often retained to conduct post-event and pre-litigation investigations and liability assessments in addition to seeing cases through trial.

Lawyers and Law Firms

Our attorneys have the experience to defend lawyers and law firms against malpractice claims arising from conflicts of interest, transactions, litigation or accusations of trial errors.  We understand the importance of a professional's career and the seriousness of these claims.  With our litigation experience and experience in representing professionals, we work with clients to forge the best strategy and defense.

Accountants and Accounting Firms

An extension of the extensive representation of other professionals in claims of malpractice include the representation of accountants and accounting firms in claims of malpractice and misrepresentation to the client.  This work, however, does not extend into the area of accountants and accounting firms that work with publicly traded companies or Sarbanes-Oxley related claims.

Engineering/Architecture Firms and Professionals

Our professional liability litigators work to defend engineers, engineering firms, and various design professionals, architects, construction companies, contractors, and subcontractors in claims involving negligent design, construction project management, adherence to city, state and federal codes and industrial design and specifications issues.
